A motorcycle rider is currently under observation in the hospital after he crashed into a parked tractor along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Bacag, Villasis town on Tuesday, July 5.

Investigation shows rider Mariel Curay Cais, 21, a native of Mountain Province but currently residing at Barangay Bacag, was cruising along the road when a vehicle suddenly  overtook him that almost hit him, causing him to lose balance.

His motorcycle eventually crashed into a parked tractor.

Cais’ motorcycle was a total wreck while he sustained injuries and was rushed to the Urdaneta District Hospital.

Meanwhile, another similar incident happened along the service road of Barangay Paitan, Santa Maria, Wednesday night, July 6.

Victor Robeniol, 30 years old of Barangay Baro, Asingan, was driving his car along the road when he tried to overtake a tricycle. For some reason, Robeniol lost control of the wheels and his car crashed into a steel barrier before the car landed on an irrigation canal.

While his car sustained major damages, Robeniol only sustained minor injuries. (Ahikam Pasion)
