Man with 50 grams of shabu nabbed in checkpoint

A 32-year-old chopping board vendor was arrested in a police checkpoint along Barangay Cal-litang, Sta. Maria town, after he was caught in possession of suspected shabu on Monday, July 4.

The suspect, Jomar Narvaja, a resident of the town’s Barangay Namagbagan, was flagged down routinely by policemen when authorities discovered two sachets containing 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P 340,000 in street value.

Narvaja is now under police custody, and was charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165. (Ahikam Pasion)
