A 24-year old nursing student from Baguio City was arrested in Barangay Bobonan in  Pozorrubio town at dawn on June 21 during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by joint police operatives.

The suspect was identified as Dianne Escalante, a native of Baguio City.

Seized from her were P120,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves, two pieces of Ecstasy tablet and the buy-bust money and cash in the amount of P3,400. The marijuana leaves were transported from Baguio.

She was arrested in a combined operations by the Pozorrubio police, Pangasinan and Regional Police Police, Drug Enforcement Unit and the Regional Intelligence Division, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The suspect was temporarily detained at the Pozorrubio Police Detention cell. (Leonardo Micua)
