THREE drug peddlers were arrested in two separate operations in Barangays Tambac and Pantal in Dagupan City by operatives from the Dagupan City Police that resulted in seizure of more than seven grams of suspected shabu.

The first buy-bust operation was launched last Monday, December 27, 10 p.m. and arrested suspect Rogelio Cabrera aka ‘Jack’, 38, a welder and a resident of Barangay Poblacion East in Calasiao town.

Cabrera sold two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing two grams, after receiving what he believed was P13,000.

The confiscated drug had a street price of Php13,600, according to authorities.

Three hours later, at 1 a.m.  December 28 in Barangay Pantal, police arrested suspects Michael Magno aka ‘Mik-mik’, 28, single, and a resident of Barangay Gabon in Calasiao town, and his cohort Jerico Suyat aka ‘Kokoy’, 24, and a resident of Barangay Bacayao Norte in Dagupan City.

Police operatives recovered two medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing around 5.2 grams.

The seized contraband had a street level price of Php 35,360.

Magno and Suyat’s arrests were a follow-up of the police’s interrogation of Cabrera, who was caught earlier.

Records showed it was the first time for all the suspects to be caught selling shabu.  They said they were forced to sell shabu for their families to provide for the upcoming New Year’s noche buena.

All the suspects were charged for violation of Republic Act 9165. Meanwhile, the operatives continue their operations against the arrested suspects’ sources. (Ahikam Pasion)
