PDEA nabs 2 HVTs in Dagupan
TWO high-value targets (HVTs) of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) were arrested, following a search warrant implementation in Barangay II, Dagupan City, dawn of Tuesday, December 21.
Arrested in separate implementations of the warrants on Nueva Street were Diamond Saro, and Javer Hadji Acmad Macaayao, both residents of the barangay.
PDEA-Pangasinan provincial officer Rechie Camacho said first to be arrested was Macaayao. Authorities found suspected shabu weighing 2 grams valued at P13,600 in his possession. Also seized were one weighing scale, three lighters, one glass tooter, and other shabu paraphernalia.
Minutes later, Saro was nabbed in his house where PDEA operatives found sachets of suspected shabu weighing one and a half gram valued at P10,200 in a coin purse inside a handbag.
Camacho confirmed that both suspects were under PDEA surveillance after intelligence reports and arrested drug peddlers pointed to them as suppliers of the illegal drugs in Dagupan City and in Central Pangasinan.
Both have been charged with violation of R.A. 9165. (Ahikam Pasion)
