FIVE drug dealers, one of them had just been released from jail seven months ago through plea bargaining agreement, were arrested in four separate buy-bust operations launched by the police in three separate areas in Pangasinan from November 1 to 2  during the observance of Undas.

The four operations resulted in the confiscation of 30.15 grams of shabu with estimated P214,000 value.

One of the arrested suspects was Noel Perez, also known as “Dragy:”, a fisherman, presently residing at Barangay Lauis, Candelaria, Zambales fell in the buy-bust operation conducted by the Dagupan Police in Barangay Boquig, Dagupan City on November 2.

Perez, who was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165 by the Mabini Police on December 9, 2020, was released from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Burgos in March this year after the plea bargaining agreement offered him by the court.

However, immediately after his release, he resumed his drug dealing and even expanded his operations to Pangasinan.

Whether Mejia was a cohort of Perez in his drug activities is being determined.

The drug buy-bust operations in Dasol by police and elements of the Regional Intelligence Division of Police Regional Office 1 on November 1 in Poblacion, Dasol led to the arrest of Ariel Estuesta and Raymart Sison, both of Barangay Gais-guipe, Dasol.
