UNIDENTIFIED robbers ransacked the Municipal Treasury Office in Urbiztondo and carted away some cash and the closed circuit television recorder on Tuesday.

Scene of the Crime Operatives team reported that there were signs of attempts by the  suspects to open the vault in the office but failed.

Julie Aquino, office employee, said her cash collection amounting to P44,600 in different denominations and the CCTV recorder were missing.

The robbery was reported at 7:20 a.m. when Mandy de Vera, municipal janitor, discovered the door to the Municipal Treasury Office was forcibly opened.

Handprints on the tables of municipal treasury office, possibly those of the thieves were detected and have been submitted for examination. (Eva Visperas)
