THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pangasinan arrested a 42-year-old man in a drug-bust operation in Barangay Camantiles, Urdaneta City, Wednesday afternoon.

Team Leader Rechie Camacho identified the suspect as Marben Sanchez, a resident of Barangay Licsi in Manaoag . He was nabbed after he sold three sachets of shabu that weighed 15 grams, with P102,000 DDB value, to a PDEA undercover agent in the barangay.

Seized from Sanchez were the P500 marked bill and 119 boodle bills.

Camacho, however, said that Sanchez, who admitted that his source of the supply is from the National Capital Region, is not considered a high-value target because he is a new drug personality.

Sanchez was charged for violating R.A. 9165 on Thursday, April 22.

Meanwhile, Camacho said drug-sniffing dogs are making the rounds in transshipment points in the province, after reports said illegal drugs were being stuffed into deliveries through couriers.

In Dagupan City, suspect Dennis Nebreda aka ‘Kulas’, 21, a resident of Barangay Mayombo, Dagupan City, was arrested in a drug-bust operation by the members of Dagupan PNP.

He sold two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu to a cop posing as a buyer.

Seized from Nebreda were the P1,000 marked money and boodle money and the tricycle he used during the transaction. (Ahikam Pasion)
