SUAL town has extended the temporary closure of all its municipal beaches, tourism destinations and establishments till April 11 this year to prevent any more COVID-19 positive cases in the town.

This was provided in the executive order No. 11 signed on April 6 by Mayor Liseldo Calugay, following his earlier Executive Order No. 10, where he ordered the closure all beaches and tourism facilities during the Lenten season that would have been visited by a throng of families and visitors.

Data of the Provincial Health Office showed that as of April 8, Sual recorded four COVID-19 cases, up by three cases from only one it logged in last week.

Mayor Calugay expressed confidence that the extended temporary closure of all town’s beaches for swimming including all tourism infrastructures and establishments will curb the rise of COVID-19 cases. (Leonardo Micua)
