LGU-Pampanga benchmarks activities in Prov’l Government of Pangasinan

“LAHAT po ng probinsya has its own qualities and uniqueness. Iyong isang pinakamagandang common denominator ng lahat is to learn more para mapagsilbihan po natin ang ating mga kababayan.”

This was stated by Governor Amado I. Espino III as he expressed his gratitude to the LGU-Pampanga under the leadership of Governor Dennis G. Pineda for choosing the province of Pangasinan for their benchmarking activity on March 12.

Governor Espino along with the executives of LGU-Pangasinan warmly welcomed 26 department heads and chiefs of LGU-Pampanga in an opening ceremony held at the Sison Auditorium in which Gov. Espino stressed that it is a great honor to receive the officials of LGU-Pampanga.

“It is a recognition din po na mayroon po silang gustong matutunan sa probinsya ng Pangasinan at the same time mayroon din po kaming malalaman sa best practices na ginagawa ng probinsya ng Pampanga,” said Gov. Espino.

Gov. Espino also encouraged LGU-Pampanga to continue serving its constituents to the best of their abilities.

“Our hunger to serve our kababayans po. Iyong gutom pa po natin at sakripisyo na gusto pa po natin silang pagsilbihan lalo, iyon po sana ang apoy na hindi po mawawala sa atin. Iyon naman po siguro ang ating adhikain; pagsilbihan sila ng tapat at dagdagan pa natin at upang ang maituro din natin sa ating mga constituents na gusto pong magsilbi lalo na ang mga (municipal and city) LGUs,” said Gov. Espino as he also hoped that the visit of LGU-Pampanga in the province will be memorable.

The said benchmarking activity of LGU-Pampanga aims to learn the best practices of the province that they can adopt to further improve the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

Special Assistant to Governor of Pampanga Ms. Angelina S. Blanco, who represented Governor Pineda, commended the Provincial Government of Pangasinan for its good governance.

“We believe that adopting the best practices and outstanding operational standards of your offices in various key areas will further improve the Provincial Government of Pampanga. We would like to extend our gratitude for heeding our call for a collaborative partnership in this benchmarking activity,” said Ms. Blanco.

The department heads and chiefs of LGU-Pampanga visited their counterpart offices in the province of Pangasinan to further discuss and exchange strategies and best practices that will help to further improve both provinces.

Some department heads of LGU-Pampanga shared their impression of the province in which they applauded the current administration for its organize, systematic, and structured governance.

“Binibigyang dangal ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Pangasinan ang kanyang mga kawani. Maganda ang kanilang tanggapan, systematiko at organisado ang kanilang structure. Maganda ang kapaligiran. Ito talaga ang tinatawag nating good local governance,” said Pampanga Provincial Information Officer Joel Mapiles who also commended PIO Pangasinan.

Moreover, Pampanga Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Arthur F. Punsalan also expressed his gratitude to all the department heads of the province for all the inputs and information they provided.

“Rest assured that all this information will be part of the drafting of our final reorganization. Ito po ay isang malaking instrumento at essential part para sa progreso ng aming probinsya,” said Pampanga PENRO Chief Arthur F. Punsalan.

Pampanga OIC-Provincial Planning and Development Officer Wilfredo Manalili also commended the nice venue of the Sison Auditorium.

After the activity, LGU-Pangasinan toured the LGU-Pampanga executives around the Capitol Building, Lingayen Beachfront, Veterans Park, Casa Real and Abong na Dayew where the awards and recognition of the province are preserved.

Executives of LGU-Pangasinan received colorful lanterns and delicacies from the LGU-Pampanga as a token of gratitude while LGU-Pampanga received Tatak Pangasinan products of the Pamanang Yaman, Produktong Pangasinan from the province.  /Diane A. Tinambacan
