THREE former members of the “Alex Bungcayao Brigade”, known as the liquidation squad of the communist New People’s Army (NPA), voluntarily surrendered to the police on March 8 in Tayug town.

The surrenderees were identified as Lareto Espiritu y Gromeo, alias “Ka Ernie”’, farmer, of Barangay Luna, Umingan; and Danny Pasamic, 58, a vegetable vendor; and Ma. Mercedes Ancheta y Pasamic, alias “Ka Amor”, also vegetable vendor, both residents of Barangay Bagong Flores, Lucao, Nueva Ecija.

They surrendered to the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Pangasinan Police at Camp Narciso Rueca Ramos in Tayug.

The surrenderees brought with them one 12-gauge still serviceable shot gun with four bullets, one Caliber 45 pistol with one magazine containing three bullets and one serviceable rifle grenade.
