BFP inspects 13k buildings in January

THE Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Pangasinan has had a fiery start in building inspections during the first month of 2021.

In his report, Fire Superintendent Georgian Pascua, provincial fire marshal, said 13,828 buildings, structures, and establishments, have been inspected by the BFP-Pangasinan in January.

Inspected were 1,332 newly-constructed buildings, while 12,496 were reviewed for renewal of business permits.

Dagupan City ranked first with most establishments inspected with 1,752, Alaminos City in second place with 904 inspected buildings, Rosales with 766, Mangatarem with 750, and San Carlos City with 665 buildings inspected.

The fire safety inspection is an annual activity of the BFP, and is a requirement for the renewal and/or issuance of business permits in partnership with the LGUs, through their Business One Stop Shops (BOSS). (Ahikam Pasion)
