Power rates lowered, not increased – CENPELCO

By January 10, 2021Business, News

THE Central Electric Cooperative denied that it increased its billing rate, instead, it has lowered the rate by 87 centavos per kilowatt hour. Cenpelco’s per kilo watt hour is at P9.

According to Engr. Rodrigo Corpuz, Cenpelco manager, said the complaining customers failed to realize that the increase in the electric bill was due to their increased usage of power in their homes, using more electric appliances while quarantined during the pandemic.

Corpuz added that there is no truth to the complaints that Cenpelco imposed a penalty on delayed payments of electric bills and while the policy no disconnection remains suspended in consideration of households plight during the pandemic, he urged customers to still pay their bills on time to avoid misunderstanding on their unpaid bills in the future.
