Pangasinan PNP nabs five drug dealers

THE campaign of the Pangasinan police against illegal drugs under P/Colonel Ronald Gayo, police provincial director, got off to a good start with the arrest of five drug dealers in different towns in separate police operations.

Arrested in these operations were suspects Frederick Tandoc, 42, of Sitio Longos in Bonuan Boquig, Dagupan City; Carina Mayurgas, 38, a helper, of Barangay Barwi, Mangaldan; Ken Liam Bautista, 18, a fisherman, of Barangay Concordia, Bolinao; Crisante Celine, 40. of Maniboc, Lingayen; Felix Quero Jr., 31, of Barangay San Nicolas West in Agno, La Union; and Wilma Rayis Ruiz, 27, a newly identified drug personality.

The joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested Tandoc in a buy-bust operation conducted on January 4 on Dasmarinas Street in Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City.

Seized from the arrested suspects were: From Tandoc, 0.40 grams of shabu valued at P2,200, two P100 bills, one of which was the buy-bust money and one MIO motorcycle; from Mayurgas—.0.13grams of shabu valued at P884; Bautista—1 heat-sealed sachet of marijuana valued at P480; from Celino–0.091 gram valued at P648; Quero—three sachets containing 1.5 grams of shabu Valued at P10,000’ one cellphone match box and a cigarette pack; and from Ruiz—0.15 grams of shabu valued at P500 and five P500 bills.

Gayo, who assumed as new police provincial director of Pangasinan on December 5, declared that the campaign against illegal drugs is his number one priority in Pangasinan with anti-criminality second. (Leonardo Micua)
