TO improve police officers’ handling of guns and their marksmanship in the campaign against crime in the province, the 1st Provincial Director’s Cup was held at the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office’s shooting range last week.

Provincial Director P/Colonel Ronald Gayo said PNP issued firearms were used in the marksmanship proficiency training.

The chiefs of police in the province were in the first batch that trained and will be followed by other personnel.

All PNP members in Pangasinan have been issued firearms.

In this regard, Gayo said, the campaign against crime has intensified, particularly the fight against loose firearms and illegal drugs, including the arrest of people wanted by law. (Nora Dominguez)
