Two motorcycle riders without helmets died in road mishaps
A 29-year old man died after his motorcycle crashed and fell off a cliff in Barangay Canan Norte, Malasiqui.
The victim, Raymund Ocat, together with back-rider Haide Lawas, were traversing a sharp curve in the area when Ocat lost control that caused them to fall off a cliff after crashing into a signage post.
They were rushed to the hospital, but Ocat was declared dead on arrival. Lawas survived the accident with injuries.
Police investigations showed the victims were not wearing helmets.
Meanwhile, in Banaoang, Sta. Barbara, a 20-year-old man also died after his motorcycle skidded on a wet road due to rains.
Victim Gerald Sumande was on his way to work when the incident happened.
He suffered serious injuries on the head and neck, causing his death. (Ahikam Pasion)
