Rider crashes into 2 vehicles, dies
A motorcycle rider died when he crashed into two vehicles in Mangaldan town.
The victim, Samuel Tamayo, a resident of Barangay Poblacion in Mangaldan, was traversing the stretch of Barangay Banaoang, when he crashed into an SUV he was following did a sharp turn to the left.
According to police investigation, Gonzalo Salung, driver of the SUV, admitted he did not see Tamayo from the side and back because he was speeding fast.
Because of the impact, Tamayo and his motorcycle were thrown to the opposite lane, where he again crashed to a motorcycle ridden by Antonio Joaquin, 19 years old, also a resident of Mangaldan in Barangay Buenlag.
Tamayo and Joaquin were rushed to the hospital, but Tamayo was declared dead on arrival. Joaquin survived, and is currently undergoing treatment. (Ahikam Pasion)
