PDEA nabs 2 HVTs, seizes P 340k worth of shabu
PHILIPPINE Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives backed by the Calasiao Police Station arrested two high value targets in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay San Miguel, Calasiao, on Friday, December 18.
Arrested were suspects, Mark Joseph Acot, aka ‘Mar’, 32 years old, a resident of Baguio City, while accomplice Salvador Estaris, aka ‘Bads’, 38 years old, is a resident of Palguyod, Pozorrubio. Both are considered high value targets.
The suspects sold one sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected 50 grams of shabu, valued at P 340,000 to an undercover operative.
Also recovered from the suspects were one piece of P1,000 bill, 149 pieces of ‘boodle’ money, used in the operation, a cellphone, and the Toyota Hi-Ace van used by the suspects.
Retchie Camacho, PDEA-Pangasinan assistant provincial officer and operations team leader, said Acot, who operates in Northern Luzon, was the primary target, but both he and Estaris are considered high value targets.
Meanwhile, the series of operations launched by the PDEA and PNP resulted in the arrest of street drug dealers in Dagupan City. Arrested were:
- Alfredo Diaz, 41, al resident of Barangay Bonuan Gueset, in Barangay Pantal for selling P50,000 worth of shabu.
- Dennis Galvan, aka ‘Kabayan’, 48, for selling shabu worth P10,200; Michael Flordeliza, 32, a resident of San Vicente, San Jacinto, was also arrested.
- Jose Ellana Jr., 39, a backhoe operator also from Barangay San Vicente, San Jacinto, for selling P 3,700 worth of shabu.
Meanwhile, Regie Allida, 58 years old, a tricycle driver from San Vicente, San Jacinto was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pantal, Dagupan City. Illegal drugs worth P9,500 were seized.
Meanwhile, P/Brig. Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr, Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) director said there will be no let-up anti-illegal drug operations until this region is free from all forms of illegal drugs.
Azurin said PRO1 intensified its drive on anti-illegal drugs operations with 26 in the region from Dec. 14-20, 2020 that resulted in the arrest of one regional top priority target in Ilocos Sur; two HVTs and 22 not listed drug personalities in Pangasinan and confiscation of 73.8806 grams of shabu valued at P502,388. and 99.582 grams of dried marijuana leaves valued P11,949.84; two firearms and two hand grenades.
