Pangasinan donates P1 million each to Albay, Catanduanes
AFTER delivering truckloads of relief goods under the Oplan: Tulong Kapatid to flooded Cagayan and Isabela, both ravaged by Typhoon Ulysses, the Pangasinan government donated P1 million to each as financial assistance to the provinces of Albay and Catanduanes devastated earlier by Typhoon Rolly.
The financial assistance to Albay and Catanduanes was authorized by Sangguniang Panlalawgan Resolution No. 1739-2020 authored by Third District Board Member Angel Baniqued Jr.
The P1 million check for Albay personally delivered by Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Rhodyn Luchinvar Oro on the authority of Governor Amado Espino, Jr. was received by Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara, accompanied PSWD Officer Eva Grageda and Provincial Treasurer Mayflor Atos-Deang.
The P1 million check for Catanduanes was received by Governor Joseph Cua and his Provincial Administrator Ireneo Panti Jr., and PDRRMO Officer Andro Facundo.
Both governors expressed their gratitude to Governor Espino and the people of Pangasinan for extending the financial assistance to them at a time when their provinces need to rise from the big havoc of destruction wrought by the typhoon. (Leonardo Micua)
