Old man arrested over attempt to shoot policemen
A 72-year-old man and a resident Barangay Santa Maria Norte in Binalonan town was arrested after attempting to shoot patrolling policemen.
P/Lieutenant Gerald Caldwising, Corporal Edralin Aben, and Patrolman Mac Edgarson Calpotura were patrolling in the barangay, when the suspect Faylito Quesada went out of his house, holding a short firearm.
For still unknown reason, he was poised to shoot the policemen, but dropped the gun before he could pull the trigger. The police quickly subdued and arrested the suspect.
Authorities recovered a 9-millimeter pistol with live ammunition.
His motive behind the attempted shooting are still being investigated. (Ahikam Pasion)
