Faulty traffic lights will be restored soon

SOME of the traffic lights along Dagupan City’s main business districts, particularly along the intersection of AB Fernandez Avenue, Arellano St., MH del Pilar St., and AB Fernandez East, have been out of commission for weeks now and caused nerve-wracking traffic jams.

But these will soon be over, as the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) said repairs of the traffic lights will be completed before the holiday jam.

POSO Chief Robert Christopher Erfe-Mejia, in an interview, said they have already contacted the traffic lights supplier for technical support.

“Expect the faulty traffic lights to be repaired and maintained,” said Erfe-Mejia.

He said POSO will continue to deploy more traffic enforcers in the city’s chokepoints in the business districts to manage the city’s flow of traffic. (Ahikam Pasion)
