Drunk goes berserk, chases police using bolo

A 43-year-old man was arrested by authorities after he chased a policeman away who responded to the complaint of a neighbor in Barangay Poblacion in Infanta town.

The suspect, Andrew Torres, was initially the subject of a complaint by a neighbor who called for help because the suspect was throwing stones at his house. Torres was still in a drunken fit when authorities arrived.

P/Staff Sergeant Raymundo Modelo Jr. attempted to pacify Torres, but the suspect could not be restrained and instead grabbed a bolo, and chased Modela away.

Torres was eventually subdued and disarmed. He is presently under police custody after charges were filed against him.  (Ahikam Pasion)
