THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) in Lingayen inaugurated its newly-renovated Crime Laboratory Office (CLO) at the police provincial command on Wednesday.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory director P/Brig. Gen. Steve Ludan and provincial administrator Nimrod Camba who represented Governor Amado Espino III, led the inauguration and blessing of the facility.

Ludan said CLO, a symbol of bayanihan at pagtutulungan, will provide quality service for scientific investigation for effective delivery of justice through forensic science.

Ludan said that through the years, the crime laboratory played a pivotal role in contributing to crime solutions through scientific investigation and technical support to the PNP.

“This building we inaugurate today is the landmark proof of united effort and collaboration between the crime laboratory office and the local government of Pangasinan,” he said.

Aside from the provincial crime laboratory, a city crime laboratory is also situated in Urdaneta City that caters forensic examinations from the eastern Pangasinan.

PPPO director P/Col. Redrico Maranan, retired Judge Ulysses Butuyan (who initiated the project) and Provincial Information officer Orpheus Velasco attended the event. (Jerick Pasiliao)
