THE provincial government of Pangasinan crossed over to the international scene as the Employer of the Year: Accredited 259+ Employees in the Investors in Peace (IiP) Awards 2020, besting private and government sectors across the globe.

According to the provincial government’s Human Resources and Management Office, Pangasinan bested seven finalists from other parts of the world to win the coveted award given by the IiP, a London-based accreditation body that evaluates leadership and management culture and practices of organizations.

The IiP award affirmed the provincial government’s high ratings in 2019 based on established criteria for the international award.

On June 12, 2020, IiP specifically acknowledged that the provincial government was already chosen as one of the Top 20 Employers of the Year along with other IiP-accredited organizations having more than 250 employees.

Then on September 10 this year, Pangasinan was selected as one of the Top 10 employers in the international community.

And finally, on November 24, Pangasinan was declared winner for the Employer of the Year: Accredited (250+ employees) in the Investors in People Awards 2020.

On learning the Pangasinan provincial government’s international award, Governor Amado Espino III expressed his gratitude to all officials and employees for their diligence and sacrifices that made the award possible. (Leonardo Micua)
