THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed Provincial Resolution No. 025-2020 expressing its deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to the bereaved family of the late Provincial Board Member Jose De Guzman Peralta Jr. who passed away last October 3. He was 55.

Peralta was an ex-officio member of the provincial board as president of the Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Federation in Pangasinan.

The late board member began his government service as municipal councilor of his native Balungao town from 1993 to 1995 and as vice mayor from 1998 to 2001 where he was molded and became an efficient and effective public servant.

Peralta served as municipal mayor in Balungao from 2001 to 2010 and introduced a host of noteworthy projects that led to the development of his municipality.

Peralta’s long and dedicated service in the municipal government prompted him to serve the people more which led to his election as a barangay captain and was consequently elected as the provincial Liga ng mga Barangay Federation President, a position that qualified him to become an ex-officio board member.

The late Board Member Peralta is survived by his wife Minda and his children Jose III, Joshua Mare and Jordan Louie. (PIO)
