Clearing of weeds conducted in Adopt-A-Mountain Project 2

CAPITOL NEWS

THE Provincial Government led by Governor Amado I. Espino III through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) and Pangasinan Environment and Natural Resources Office (Pangasinan ENRO) held a send-off ceremony on September 28 in PDRRMO Compound, Lingayen for the beneficiaries of Abig Pangasinan – Karagdagang Pangkabuhayan (Cash-for-work) who were tapped to clear the weeds in the new Adopt-a-Mountain Project in Bugallon.

The 37 beneficiaries of Cash-for-work cut and cleared the undesirable grasses in the 110 hectares of land in Brgy. Cayanga, Bugallon, a new reforestation site adopted by the province from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for its National Greening Project (NGP).

The beneficiaries will receive P400 cash each per day.

Governor Espino launched the first Adopt-a-Mountain Project on 2017 in a separate 20-hectares of land in Brgy. Cayanga, aimed at developing, maintaining, and protecting forestlands in support of the National Greening Program.

Oro.

A Memorandum of Agreement between the Provincial Government and DENR was signed on September 25 for two NGP projects including the 110-hectares in Bugallon and another 50-hectares in Calitlitan, Umingan.

Oro to the beneficiaries. /DAT, SMDG
