LTO transactions in region kept to minimum
DISTRICT offices of the Land Transportation Office in Region 1 have limited transactions for car registrations and driver’s licenses.
According to LTO regional director Teofilo Guadiz III, the number of transactions for car registration has been scaled down to 80-100 applications a day while only 40 applications for renewal of licenses a day to help keep social distancing in the offices and protect our employees.
“We are very, very careful because if one of our employees is infected, the entire district office where he or she is working at will shutdown for 14 days,” Guadiz said. .
He said the policy has kept all employees in the region free form COVID infection.
Penalties are deferred for three months as consideration to all affected by the pandemic, he said. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
