INT’L HR group cites Pangasinan for good leadership, management
The Investors in People (IIP), an international organization, has conferred accreditation on August to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, through the Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), for its standard level in good leadership and management.
Human Resource Management and Development Officer Janette C. Asis accepted the accreditation plaque via teleconference with the Investors in People representatives.
Asis said during the acceptance speech, “We are more energized and synchronized our action as a team in receiving our accreditation to Investors in People standard. This is our way of expressing our gratitude to IIP, that together as a team, we live by our battle cry, PANGASINAN NUMBER 1.”
“Ito ’yong accreditation natin sa standard ng Investors in People. This is the level of leadership and management of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan when it comes to leadings and managing people to guide them in one direction in serving our constituents,” Ms. Asis further said in an interview.
The Investors in People is an international body which centralizes in people management giving accreditation to organizations which adhere to their standards in leadership and management.
Asis also explained, “Kapag mayroon tayong level of leadership, malalaman natin how do we plan, organize and lead our people.”
Furthermore, Asis also bared that accreditation is conforming to the good governance of the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Amado I. Espino III.
“The governor is very good when it comes to leading his people. The agility of our chief executive is being cascaded to all our department heads and chiefs of hospitals,” said Asis.
Through the good partnership between the provincial chief executive and department heads, the Provincial Government of Pangasinan was able to deliver engaging performance in order to accomplish its service to the public.
It can be recalled that the IIP conducted series of interviews with the Provincial Government Employees last September 10-12, 2019 to assess the leadership and management practices of the Provincial Government.
“Pina-check namin ‘yong accomplishments, culture, at values ng Provincial Government of Pangasinan. Nag-interview sila to validate kung ang mga pinakita namin sa kanilang core values ay isinasabuhay ng mga tao,” stated Asis. /Paula Jhea Sison
