Two women in Dagupan tested positive
NEW COVID-19 CASES
TWO residents of Dagupan City who arrived from Metro Manila tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the city government’s Public Information Office, a 32-year-old female OFW from Barangay Calmay, was confirmed on June 24 to have tested positive for COVID-19.
The patient arrived in the Philippines last June 15, and was quarantined in a hotel in Manila for five days while awaiting result of her initial swab that turned out negative.
Upon her arrival in Dagupan City, she remained in a quarantine facility where her specimen was again tested on June 24. The result was known on same day and her specimen tested positive.
The latest other case is a 44-year-old woman from Barangay Bonuan Binloc. She tested positive for COVID-19 on June 25.
She arrived from Makati City, where she was working. Upon arrival in Dagupan City on June 23, she, along with her two companions, went to their employer’s house, where they remained until the results of their tests known.
While she tested positive, her companions were negative.
Dr. Ophelia Rivera, the city’s COVID-19 focal person, said both patients were asymptomatic.
The two cases are confined at the Region 1 Medical Center. (Ahikam Pasion)
