SK chair, 3 others injured in stabbing incidents

A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman of Tayug and three others were hurt in separate stabbing incidents on May 10.

Jayson Galapon, 25, SK chair of Barangay Libertad, Tayug and Eric Marquez, 41, fish vendor were reportedly stabbed by suspects identified as Lito Sebastian 41, farmer, who was arrested and his companions who are at large, namely, Edward Mauro Jr ; Boy Sebastian and Allan Astodillo.

The victims and the suspects were having a drinking spree when they suddenly had a heated argument that ended in a brawl.

The victims were rushed to Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital.

Meanwhile in Rosales town, a siblings quarrel left Alexander Tobias, 68, injured with a stab wound inflicted by his younger brother, Manuel Tobias, 64, in their residence in Barangay San Pedro West, Rosales.

Prior to the incident, Manuel, who was reportedly sleepless for two consecutive nights and feeling depressed, was creating a disturbance inside their compound.

For still unknown reason Manuel attacked his elder brother.

The suspect is under police custody and the improvised nine-inch long knife was confiscated by responding policemen.

In Urdaneta City, Jayson Tuppal, 23, a mechanic, was stabbed by his brother-in-law Celso Adviento, 39, both residents of Zone 1, Barangay Camantiles.

Tuppal and Adviento came from a drinking spree when the victim confronted the suspect about their old grudge.

Adviento got irked and stabbed Tuppal onĀ  the neck.

Tuppal was rushed to Urdaneta District Hospital while Adviento was arrested. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
