Brgy kapitan, 15 others face raps for birthday bash
A barangay kapitan of Calasiao and 15 other persons are facing charges for various violations of the protocol established for the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for attending a birthday party.
Calasiao Police Chief, P/Lt. Col. Joseph Fajardo said Severino Tuazon of Barangay Poblacion East and others who attended a birthday party were arrested after a picture of the celebration was posted on Facebook.
Fajardo said they violated the rule on physical distancing, social gathering and the liquor ban, and some were not wearing face masks.
Tuazon, as kapitan will be investigated by the Philippine National Police, the Department of Interior and Local Government for failing to enforce the rules himself. (Jerick Pasiliao)
