Top 10 cities/towns with COVID-19 cases, PUIs
DAGUPAN City still leads three other cities and 44 towns of Pangasinan with the most confirmed COVID-19 and Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) as of April 9.
According to the Provincial Health Office (PHO) Dagupan registered six confirmed COVID-19 cases (one died, five others confined). It listed 13 PUIs (one died, five confined, six recovered) and registers the highest number of PUIs in Pangasinan who recovered.
The city government placed Barangay Pogo Chico on lockdown and the whole city under Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine (EECQ) till April 30.
The other towns with most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and PUIs are:
– Bayambang: Four COVID-19 cases (one died, two confined and one recovered). The town has 10 PUIs (one death, five confined and four recovered). It was placed on lockdown till April 14.
– Malasiqui: Three COVID-19 cases (one died, one confined and one recovered). It has seven PUIs (one died, two confined and four recovered).
– Rosales: Three COVID-19 cases (one died, one confined and one recovered). It registered one PUI that died (swab test still not available at presstime). It was placed under EECQ till April 14. On April 7, lockdown of Barangays Zone IV and V were lifted but Barangay Carmay West was ordered on lockdown.
– Lingayen: Three COVID-19 cases (one died, two confined). It listed seven PUIs (five confined, two recovered). Barangay Libsong West, where the lone COVID-19 fatality came from, was ordered on lockdown.
– Alaminos City: Two COVID-19 cases (one died, one confined). It listed four PUIs (one died, one confined, two recovered). It was placed under EECQ till April 14. Barangay Alos was on lockdown.
– Urdaneta City: Only one COVID-19 case but who recovered. It listed nine PUIs (five confined, four recovered).
– Bugallon: One COVID-19 case admitted in a hospital. It listed three PUIs (one died, three confined).
– San Fabian: The town registered one PUI who recovered. It was placed on lockdown after a seven-year old girl died from COVID-19.
– Tayug: Three PUIs (one died, two recovered). (Leonardo Micua)
