Misting cannon operation conducted in Tayug & Binalonan

THE Provincial Government of Pangasinan conducted misting cannon operations anew, this time in Tayug and Binalonan.

On April 7, responders from Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Provincial Engineering Office disinfected the environment of the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital based in Tayug.

Hospital beds, and other materials in the hospital were brought outside for disinfection.

The responders made rounds at the town proper, including the public market, for misting.

Meanwhile, barangay Balangobong in Binalonan was also visited to sanitize its environment.

On instruction of Governor Amado I. Espino III, a series of misting cannon operation will be conducted in various localities of the province to disinfect or to sanitize the areas where suspected COVID-19 subjects were reported.

Recently, the provincial government has conducted misting in some determined areas in Alaminos, and Infanta, and at the farmers’ pavillion of Provincial Agriculture Office in Tebag, Sta. Barbara, which is converted into a half-way house where recovered Patients Under Investigation (PUI) will stay for 15 days for continuous monitoring of their health conditions.

The responders from PDRRMO and PEO were assisted by some representatives from the local government units.

As a safety protocol, all responders wore the prescribed personal protective gears during the operation. /Mark Gerry Naval Oblanca
