A police officer was arrested for violating the existing Enhance Community Quarantine in Pangasinan province by attempting to use his authorized person outside the residence (APOR) to bring in his parents and resisting order to continue by ignoring checkpoint.

Rosales Police Station identified the violator as Police Corporal Isidro Alcaraz y Quitaleg, 27, married, assigned at Mobile Force Batallion District, Quezon City Police District, NCRPO and a resident of Barangay Palospos in San Carlos City.

According to the investigation, the police officer was driving a silver Toyota Corolla Altis along with three passengers, identified as his wife, mother and father.

Upon verification it was determined that the driver was a police officer and an authorized person outside the residence (APOR) but three of his passengers were unauthorized person outside the residence (UPOR).

Police personnel told he could pass the quarantine control point but three of his passengers were not allowed because of the existing community enhancement quarantine guidelines.

The policeman then sped off instead to Barangay Carmen and had to be chased. He was cornered at the border of Rosales town and Sto. Tomas.

According to P/Col. Redrico A. Maranan, Provincial Director of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, Police Corporal Alcaraz with his three companions were arrested and will be charged for violating Article 151 and the Bayanihan Act.

Alcaraz will also be facing administrative charges, Maranan added. (Nora Dominguez)
