Capitol completes relief packs distribution
FIRST WAVE
THE provincial government completed the first wave of relief package distribution in all 44 towns and three cities in Pangasinan in 3 days.
The relief distribution kicked off on Monday, March 30 in ten towns, ended on April 2.
The first towns that received their allocations of relief packages were Binmaley, Pozorrubio, Binalonan, Bayambang, Infanta, Bolinao, Natividad, Rosales, Sta. Maria, Umingan and Sison.
On March 31 the towns of Malasiqui, San Fabian, Villasis, Santo Tomas, Basista, Balungao, San Quintin, Tayug, San Manuel, Asingan, San Nicolas, Dasol, Agno and Mabini, received theirs.
And on April 1, the cities of Urdaneta, San Carlos, and Alaminos, and the municipalities of Manaoag, Mangaldan, San Jacinto, Mapandan, Urbiztondo, Sta. Barbara, Bani, Anda and Burgos received their allocations.
The remaining 11 towns Binalonan, Binmaley, Infanta, Pozorrubio, Sison, Sta. Maria, Umingan, Bolinao, Bayambang, Natividad, and Rosales received theirs on April 2.
Gov. Amado Espino III led the deployment from the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Gymnasium.
The massive operations for the packing of the relief goods was launched on March 19 and were administered by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and provincial government employees.
The relief package contained three kilos of rice, two cans of sardines, and two packs of instant noodles.
A total of 97,300 relief packs and 2,400 sacks of rice were delivered as of April 2. (PIO/PJS)
