Another barangay on lockdown after lifting in two
EECQ PROTOCOL IN ROSALES
WHILE the total lockdown declared in two barangays was lifted on April 7, another barangay was placed on total lockdown on the same day after a new positive case of COVID was identified.
Rosales Mayor Susan Casareno placed Barangay Carmay West also on lockdown due to a fresh case of COVID-019 in the barangay.
She said the lifting of the lockdown of Barangays IV and V will allow residents to leave their respective homes subject to the revised cluster system of the barangays (Cluster 4 for Zone IV and Cluster 1 for Zone V) for purchasing basic necessities.
The lockdown of the two barangays was ordered after a female balikbayan from Zone IV died of COVID-19 at the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan and infected her elder brother with whom she briefly stayed.
After Rosales registered one COVID-19 positive case that died and another Patient Under Investigation (PUI) that also died, the town was placed under Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine till April 7 by Mayor Casareno, which she extended as provided for in another executive order till April 14.
On April 8 at 9:00 a.m., the Provincial Health Office reported that Rosales has another confined PUI and while one recovered from the disease.
Casareno ordered the lockdown in Carmay West after receiving the report that a 49-year-old male from that village became the latest confirmed positive case of COVID- 19 after an exposure to a balikbayan relative from Canada. (Leonardo Micua)
