Alaminos City placed under EECQ

TWO COVID-19 CASES

THE city of Alaminos was placed under Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine (EECQ) shortly after registering the second confirmed case of COVID-19 on April 7.

Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste issued Executive Order No. 41 placing the entire city under EECQ following the confirmation by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) that the Patient Under Investigation (PUI) from Barangay Alos who died at The Medical City in Dagupan on April 4 was positive for COVID-19.

The confirmation effectively listed two persons positive for COVID-19 in the city while one is confined and still being treated of the disease in one hospital.

This prompted Mayor Celeste to place the entire city under EECQ, restricting entry to and exit from the city (particularly in Barangay Alos).

Consequently, Mayor Gwen Palafox-Yamamoto of Bani announced that as a show of support to Alaminos City, she temporarily disallowed trips from Bani to Alaminos and that if any person has an urgent and important thing to do in Alaminos, he or she is required coordinate with her office.

Bani earlier registered one PUI that died but but not from COVID-19. (Leonardo Micua)
