Lingayen campaigns for book donations
PARA SA BATA, PARA SA BAYAN
TO boost the education program of the Lingayen government, the town’s vice mayor has reiterated the appeal to residents to donate more books for the “Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan” project at the Lingayen Public Library.
Vice Mayor Judy Vargas- Quiocho said donated books and other reading materials will benefit the town’s students and the youth.
Quiocho said many books can help inculcate the value of good education and the importance of the pursuit of knowledge.
She said a priority of Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil’s administration is to give the youth free and easy access to educational reading materials.
In addition to the campaign to increase number of books in the library, free printing service of documents for students is also provided for as many as 10 pages per day. With opportunity to have more pages printed by turning in empty plastic bottles for proper disposal.
Students are required to show proof that they are bonafide residents of Lingayen and currently enrolled to avail the said services. (PhilStar Wire Service/ECV)
