Water booster station benefits 3K households
SOME 3,086 households in barangays in San Carlos City are beginning to enjoy sufficient water supply with the aid of the newly inaugurated booster station installed by the San Carlos City Water District (SCCWD) and PrimeWater San Carlos.
SCCWD general manager Benjamin Distor said the booster station is addressing the need of the residents in the barangays for sufficient water supply particularly during peak hours.
Covered by the booster station that can store up to 500 cubic meters of water in a steel tank reservoir with two 15HP (horsepower) booster pumps are Ano, Bega, Tarece, PNR Site, Quezon Boulevard, Mabini Street, San Juan, Mestizo Norte, Baldog Agdao, and Malacañang.
“This would store water at night. So every morning when there is a high demand for water, it would supplement the pressure and thus supply the need for the residents in the 10 barangays,” Distor said.
The construction of the project began in May 2019 and became fully operational in December 2019.
Meanwhile, Distor said they are now in the process of completing the requirements of the water treatment plant that is set to be constructed in Barangay Guelew here this year. (Jerick Pasiliao)
