San Miguel set to hire 700 workers

THE San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is set to open 700 jobs initially to residents in the Fourth District, for its multi-billion peso agro-industrial and tourism industry-related projects in San Fabian that are set to start soon.

This was announced by Fourth District Rep. Christopher de Venecia who said while SMC still does not have an office in San Fabian, his district office on A.B. Fernandez Avenue in Dagupan beside Banco de Oro was asked to assist by receiving the resumes’ or bio-data from interested applicants.

He confirmed that more than 700 employees and workers are needed initially by SMC and will increase to 2,000 to 3,000 when its agro-industrial commercial and tourism complex becomes fully operational.

He said applicants have to state the kind of job that they prefer as well as their respective experiences, and must enclose their two 2 x 2 pictures in their application. All the resumes’ received by De Venecia’s district office will be forwarded to SMC for screening and evaluation.

Former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr., the father of Congressman De Venecia, said business tycoon Ramon Ang, president, and chief operating officer of San Miguel Corporation, said his company is set to build a cement grinding plant, a pier, Jetty and Petron Tanks and LPG Farm as well as Grains Terminal, Feedmill, a  poultry processing plant, a slaughterhouse, restaurants for tourists and residents, a hotel and a recreation cum commercial center in San Fabian.
