BAYAMBANG – A man was killed by responding police officers here after resisting arrest after he hacked his wife to death and almost killed his son in Barangay San Gabriel 2^nd, this town.

P/Col. Redrico Maranan, provincial police director, said the suspect Rosendo Panaman, hacked his wife Marivic from intense jealousy after a heated altercation.

The police immediately responded to the scene to arrest him but instead of putting down the bladed weapon, the suspect rushed towards the policemen, prompting the latter to shoot him, killing him.

A follow-up investigation by Bayambang PNP, led by Ly. Col. Marceliano Desamito said that since the suspect arrived from his work in Metro Manila, he ‘s been locking himself inside their house.  (Ahikam Pasion)
