SAN CARLOS CITY – The police are still conducting retrieval operations for one drowning victim still missing in an incident where four persons have already been recovered and confirmed dead.

According Lieutenant Colonel Garie Noel Pascua, San Carlos chief of police, the victims Jaymark Zuñiga, 10, Jaypee John Lacaba, 12, Dionisio Lacaba, 11, and Reymart Peralta, 11, along with Sheryl Tismo, 30, decided to swim along the river in Barangay Salinap.

“Since it was a vacation and there were no classes, the victims decided to take a dip”, said Pascua.

The victims, however, were swept away by strong currents, dragging them to the deep part of the river.

Eventually, the bodies of Zuñiga, Lacaba, and Tismo were recovered but was declared dead on arrival, while Reymart Peralta was found the next afternoon in Barangay Salomague, Bugallon. Dionisio Lacaba was still missing at presstime. (Ahikam Pasion)
