Dagupeño to represent PH in int’l pageant

A teacher from Dagupan City will represent the country in the Mister Working Men International 2019, to be held on 15-22 October 2019.

Dr. Filemon ‘Mon’ C. Rivo, will be one of the two PH representatives to compete with 30 others in the international pageant for the prestigious title. The other is P/Corporal Willy Quinto of Angeles City.

A graduate of Bonuan Boquig Elementary School, Dagupan City National High School, and University of Pangasinan, Rivo is a true-blue Dagupeño, currently teaching high school at Bonuan Boquig National High School. He took his masteral and doctorate degree at the Baguio Central University.

Rivo, a pageant and modelling enthusiast, won his last pageant last April – where he was eventually tapped as an official representative of the country.

“The Maharlikans organization based in Middle East invited me to join the pageant since we’ve already known each other a decade ago, I agreed to join the pageant”, said Rivo in an interview.

Rivo,  married to fellow teacher, Mitchellene, and blessed with two kids Samantha Allarir, and Sasha Amber, is also one of the school’s paper advisers, and the basketball varsity coach.

Actually, busy na kami masyado kasi we are preparing for the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC), pero kailangan nating gawin ito, hindi lang para sa Dagupan City, kundi pati na rin para sa bansa”, said Rivo.

The Mister Working Men International 2019 is an international pageant, searching for independent working, and professional men who possesses character as an ambassador of well-being. (Ahikam Pasion)
