3rd PANGASINAN UNITY GAMES
THE
basketball team of Bugallon and the volleyball team of Bayambang bagged the
championship crowns in the 3rd Pangasinan Unity Games in a
best-of-three series which ended on September 6 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and
Civic Center.
Bugallon
won its first championship title in men’s basketball against its nemesis, San
Carlos City, 99-84.

Mayor Priscilla I. Espino and former LGU head and now the 2nd District
Representative Jumel Anthony I. Espino who was the former team captain, led the
cheering for their team.
In
the volleyball tourney, Bayambang slammed Labrador after winning three sets out
of five: 25-08, 25-18, 15-13.
Labrador team knocked off Bayambang 25-22 in third set and 28-26 in fourth set.
A neck-and-neck fourth set was launched with a deadlock, 24-24 and 28-26 Labrador.
Finally tied with two sets apiece, Bayambang and Labrador staged a tension-filled battle that saw Bayambang clinching the pennant (PIO/SMDG)
