ABOUT a hundred Capitol employees supported the mobile blood donation activity of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) held last week at the Palaris building, Capitol Complex in Lingayen.

Provincial Health Officer Anna Maria Teresa de Guzman told the employees that blood-letting, could be done every three or four months and has health benefits. “It burns at least 650 calories in the body, and lowers the threat of having a heart disease, stroke, and cancer,” she said.

Donors were from: PHO, General Services Office, Provincial Engineering Office, Provincial Governor’s Office, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Provincial Information Office, Management Information Services Office, Provincial Employment Services Office, and the Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office.

The blood units were turned over the Philippine Red Cross-Pangasinan chapter. (PIO/MGNO)
