Police shot dead by fellow cop
BUGALLON– A policeman died after he was shot by his fellow cop here.
Investigation from the local police station reveals that the victim, P/Chief Master Sergeant Reynaldo Estarejas, was shot to death by Patrolman Franklyn Aquino, both members of Bugallon Police Station, after a heated argument during a birthday party in Brgy. Laguit Centro.
Estarejas pressed the suspect’s wife to dance with him, but she declined.
Angrily, Estarejas left the place, but Aquino resented Estrejas’ behavior and fired his government -issued firearm in the air on learning that the victim tried to force his wife to dance.
Estarejas returned to confront Aquino and in the middle of their arguments, Aquino shot Estarejas hitting the victim in various parts of his body.
Estarejas was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Aquino ran and hid in Brgy. Cayanga, Bugallon where he was arrested. His Gloc 17 sidearm was seized. (Ahikam Pasion)
