It’s People’s Day every Tuesday in Lingayen SB

LINGAYEN – The Sangguniang Bayan announced on June 16 that Tuesdays here will be People’s Day.

Vice Mayor Judy Vargas announced that Tuesdays, the SB Hall is reserved as special day for the town residents who wish to seek help from councilors for their concerns and problems, and councilors’ offices will be open to receive them.

It started last week with meetings and personal visits of both public and private groups to the Vice Mayor.

Aida Dela Cruz, 32, fish vendor and a resident of Barangay Malawa said she finds the program beneficial as it improves their relationship to the public officials. “Marakep tan ya ginawaan da ta pian ag kami nababaingan no walay labay min irequest ed sika ira.”

Joan Santos, 26 from Barangay Tonton said “Nakakatuwa dahil nakikita naming may ginagawa talaga sila.”

Arthur Flores, 42, tricycle driver from Baay strongly supports the aim of the municipal government to bridge the gap between the government and their constituents. “Alam naming simula pa lang ito at magaganda pa ang plano nila para sa bayan namin… excited kami la ed saray projects da.”

Residents are beginning to respond positively to “Arangkada Lingayen!”  with the new initiatives of the local government. (Melody Valenton)
