A CCTV video fileled to the arrest of a notorious robber who targets homes of doctors, last Wednesday by police operatives in Dagupan City.

Arrested by the Dagupan City Police based on CCTV images was George Vincent Morales, a resident of Barangay San Antonio in Alaminos City, as he was leaving the house he just robbed.     

P/Lt. Col. Abubakar Mangelen, Jr., acting  police chief in an interview Thursday, said the suspect has been subject of a manhunt after receiving reports from his victims.

“He was caught on the closed circuit television camera (CCTV) of the house of his previous victim (a couple doctor). We were able to capture his image and the team identified him while they were patrolling,” he said.

The suspect admitted that the recent incident was his seventh robbery.

Seized from him included a cal. 45 pistol registered under the name of his recent victim, jewelry worth Php130,000 and two sachets of suspected shabu.

Mangelen said Morales has pending robbery cases in Pampanga and Cebu and efforts are being made to secure warrants already issued against him.

So far, three complainants have surfaced to file charges against Morales. (Helen Martin)
