LTO conducts road safety lectures for students
LINGAYEN – Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 1 conducted Road Safety Advocacy Activity on May 15, 2019 at the Provincial Training and Development Center for the benefit of students, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) members from various towns.
Atty. Teofilo E. Guadiz III, Regional Director – LTO Reg.1, said the targeted audience were students since it is they who are mostly involved in vehicular accidents as the motorists or as the victims.
Present during the activity were students form the Pangasinan State University, out-of-school youth and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) members.
Lectures covered Road Safety Awareness for the Youth, Basic Traffic Signs and Signals for Road Safety and Simple Motorcycle and Motor Vehicle Riding Safety.
Discussions were held on understanding of basic land transportation laws, rules and regulations, and introduced the attendees to driver’s licensing system.
“Karamihan po ng violators ay kabataan kung kaya’t hihigpitan po natin ang ating pakikipag-ugnayan sa iba’t ibang ahensya para ipalaganap ang kaalaman sa mamamayan,” added Guadiz. (PIO/AIV)
