LINGAYEN— This year’s edition of Pista’y Dayat will again feature sports activities to be played at the sprawling Capitol beachfront.

Provincial Sports Development and Management Council (PSDMC) executive officer Modesto Operania said the sports tourism attracts more tourists and revelers from nearby provinces to watch the events.

Designated playing venues for the various sporting events at the Capitol beachfront are:

From April 27 (7 A.M.), 28 (8 A.M.) and 30 (8 A.M.), the public will witness the Beach Volleyball tournament to be participated in by 12 local teams of volleybelles (2 players per team).

Beach Volleyball Republic will be held on May 1 (7 A.M.).

Thirty amateur local boxers will battle for supremacy in 15 bouts of the Paboksing ed Gulpo on April 29 (2 A.M.).

Paragliding will be featured on April 27 (9 A.M.) and 28 (8 A.M.).

For the third time, Tigasin Triathlon will be staged at the Capitol Complex in Lingayen. Triathletes will compete on four contested categories: standard (individual), sprint (relay), standard (relay), and sprint (individual) on May 4 (5 A.M.) and 5 (5 A.M.).

The Pangasinan Visitors’ Bureau (PVB) will sponsor the PVB Governor’s Golf Cup on May 5 (6 A.M.) in Dagupan City.

Philippine Beach Games will be held at the Capitol beachfront, on May 25 (8 A.M.), and 26 (8 A.M.). (PIO//MGNO)
